A nostalgic trip around the World.

Once upon a time, long before budget airlines have been existing, and long long before online portals and search engines have been acting as personal travel agents, there had been artistic and aesthetic ways to activate those few people who could afford to travel the world. From the 1920s until the 1960s traditional companies such as KLM, Air France or the German Cruise Company "Norddeutscher Lloyd" hired popular painters and graphic artists of their time such as Bernd Steiner or Bernard Villemot who were engaged by many other lifestyle brands ranging from fashion to the food & beverage industry. The more than 70 nostalgic posters are a loan by the German Historical Museum in Berlin and they are exhibited until 11 January 2015. This temporary display is just a small part of the entire and permanent exhibition at the "Musée d'Histoire de la ville de Luxembourg" (Rue du Saint-Esprit) - so, a visit is double worth it.
