Shoe Love in Spanish: Espadrilles.

They are evergreens and currently celebrating a nice comeback. Since last year by the latest they have even arrived in the high fashion industry. However, also the very classic ones are always en vogue: espadrilles. Originally the soles are made of flax or hemp and the upper is manufactured from cotton or linen. The premium versions nowadays are also made of leather and decorated with shiny applications and logos (such as the ones from Chanel). As a nostalgic lover of originals I stick to the classic ones and was delighted to discover a Spanish brand that designs and manufactures their espadrilles in their home country: Lluis Manuel. Picky as I am I don't like all styles, but fell in love with some models that work with wild silk or long bands that make the style even more feminine...

The patterns range from classic and plain color tones to maritime stripes and oriental looks working with golden or silver threads. Walking streets and beach promenades in Espadrilles will increase the holiday feeling, guaranteed! The only store in Spain is located in the Gothic Quarter or Barcelona next to El Born in the shopping street Career de Ferran 37, but you can also shop online. Prices are very affordable (starting from 15€ up to 99€) ... and they ship worldwide (E-Shop Lluis Manuel). A beautiful thing!
