Barcelona Styles.

Barcelona has been hip and known for design and great architecture since many years, but then metropolises like Stockholm and Berlin outstripped the Spanish City so that it had become "established". Anyway, to explore the Catalan Town by the Mediterranean Sea again after a while never hurts and you will always find new inspiration. The district El Born for example hosts touristic magnets such as the Picasso Museum and is quite packed especially during summer months, but in side streets or at little squares you may find real treasures where more locals rather than tourists hang around. Some suggestions for your next trip -

The bakery Barcelona Reykjavic was founded by a Spanish Icelandic couple and offers high quality homemade, organic and partly gluten free pastries - salty and sweet ones - that are simply delicious! You will come across several stores in Barcelona, e.g. in Born, Princesa 16:

In the street of Tantarantana close to Passeig de Picasso in the Born district you will find a sweet little tapas restaurant named after the street it is located in with a lovely terrace and fresh hot and cold tapas:

Browsing Barcelona's Old Town "Ciutat Vella" you will come across small fashion boutiques, book stores, and you will find cute and hip places such as Bar Lobo, Pintor Fortuny 3, where you can enjoy a drink or a nice lunch:

Vis-à-vis of Mercado Santa Catarina (where you can snack and buy lovely food by the way) you will not find a secret or unknown place, of course not, but to try tapas styles of the North of Spain and snack in a stylish atmosphere it's quite the right place:

And to freshen up on hot summer days just check out DIR (Diagonal) Gym and Pool Club and just choose to lay at the Pool and listen to the wind stroking the palm trees. It's heaven!
