Basics & Bespoke in Luxembourg. Stores with Style.

Pascal Zimmer's world make the hearts of sophisticated Vintage fans, lovers of classy fashion and true esthetes leap for joy. In midtown Luxembourg the qualified engineer (construction technician to be exact) has opened two stores that unite style, sensibility and passion for beautiful things. The local has furthermore worked as coach of the national judo team and can be named a creative entrepreneur with excellent taste who even owns his own castle as read on revue.lu.

In his stores - Basics & Bespoke in 9, Rue de la Boucherie is one of them - you will find more than just vintage designer accessories and clothes by Yves Saint Laurent, Balmain or Lanvin. Also tailor made suits and shirts in collaboration with the fashion ateliers Daniel Mare de Paris and Henry Poole (London) are offered to individual (male) customers. As always in life, beautiful things do have their price, but at the same time they are worth it.

Although the fashion focus lies on male clothes, also the ladies will enjoy browsing around and they might find one or two unique pieces like a vintage silk pyjama by Yves Saint Laurent - or just have a coffee in the second store a few steps away. Vintage furniture of the past decades will delight the guests as much as the art pieces on the wall and on the peg. Funny feature that is told: some of the clothes just seem to be for sale as the host might decide not to sell them in the end but keep his little treasures for himself. So, good luck!
