Magnifico Milano. Some interior love stories.

Milan for sure is the fashion, design and art city of Italy. Well, besides Florence and Venice ... However, this metropolis in the North of one of my favorite countries is indeed a place of gusto for all senses. Nobody would ever discuss the food question seriously in any Italian city, so you will find a nice trattoria, osteria or ristorante in any district of Milan. Brera and Navigli are two of the most popular areas.

Brera
In Brera fashion and interior boutiques next to little cafés or the so called pasticcerias who offer sweet sins ("Pasticceria Di Viole di Liquirizia", Via Madonna 10, is one the nicest and seen on the picture above) invite to spend several hours just hanging around. The Vintage Store "Madame Pauline Vintage" (Foro Buonaparte 74) next to showrooms of well-known interior brands has little luxury treasures from labels like Prada, Chanel and Vivienne Westwood that are worth to check out. At the Fashion Outlet Store Matia's in the area Porta Nuova a few steps further north (Piazza Carlo Mirabello 4) you'll find new pieces of the last or even current season by Missoni, Provenza Schouler, Red Valentino, L'Autre Chose and many more. The obligatory apéritivo before dinner you may have at the young, hip and popular wine bar N'Ombra de Vin (Via San Marco 2) or at Palazzo Parigi (Corso di Porta Nuova 1), a classic and elegant 5-star-hotel:

For dinner Locals and Italians who work in the City go to places like Il Kaimano (Via Fiori Chiari 20, Brera) or at Osteria le Binari (Via Tortona 1, Porta Genova direction Navigli):

The most lovely bars can be found at Fondazione Prada (Porta Romana Area) ...
